My condo AC is 'Climetec cl-4' a **central chilled-water fan-coil system**. The in-suite unit does **not produce cold locally**; it uses **building-supplied chilled water** through a coil, and the fan blows air over it. The fan runs, but the unit is not cooling.
I was able to verify that the chilled water at 8C arrives to the unit. After pressing the 'Reset' button on the electronic board, the AC unit starts producing cold for some short period of time, possibly just for one cycle.
My testing plan is as follows:
1. Set thermostat to some low temperature, for example, 19C and fan to 'high'.
2. Press the 'Reset' button on the electronic board, which temporary opens the valve.
3. Electrically disconnect the actuator or disconnect the actuator's power, so the valve will remain in the 'open' position indefinitely until I reconnect the actuator.
4. Wait for several hours to see if it cools down the room to 19-20C.
