The Food and Drugs Act (FDA) is the cornerstone of the Canadian food and drug law. It sets out the requirements for the manufacturing, sale, importation and labelling of foods, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices in Canada. The legislation provides authority to the Minister of Health to regulate these products through the publication of regulations.
